“Homemade” Orange Chicken

Sometimes I just can’t do it. I can’t figure out what to make for dinner and I can’t muster up the energy to actual cook. Those are my lazy evenings. They usually only happen twice a week, but sometimes I just give into the urge to take the easy way out.

In those cases, frozen meals are my friend. You might call it a cop-out. I call you a judgmental fool.

The orange chicken from Trader Joe’s is AMAZING. It tastes delicious, is easy and quick. I had some leftover white rice from ordering Chinese over the weekend (seriously, stop judging me. I can sense your judgement as your eyes glaze over these words. I don’t need that negativity in my life.) Also, a nice bonus is the price of this meal. I believe it’s around $5 at Trader Joe’s, the rice was you know… free, and two of us ate dinner with leftovers to spare.

And yes, I call this “Homemade” orange chicken. After all, it was made in my home. In my oven. From my freezer.

Don’t worry, this isn’t a nightly thing. I’m sure we’ll have a “real” recipe for you soon. But lets be honest, I’m not alone in sometimes just needing a quick heat-me-up meal that takes little to no thought.
